Last night's game was first time saw Baumann in action. His having missed most of the season was a huge loss. He consistently scores in heavy traffic underneath, can hit free throws and rebounds. Just what the doctor ordered.

He's the real deal. Scored 17 tonight off the bench. The highlight was catching the ball coming across the lane and in mid-air shooting and scoring.

I agree--he was a very pleasant surprise this weekend. Nwachukwu is looking a lot more at home out there too. Next year they could really give Columbia a post presence that it hasn't had in a long time. (And if they do, Jones could get a third straight year of ecstatic newspaper coverage in December for turning the team around.)
