In the Daily Pennsylvanian, of all places:

It sounds like she and the Lions are having the same problems they had the last two years with integrating her frantic style of play into a more deliberate offense. If I were coaching the team, I would let her go to town and ask everyone else to follow along, but that's easy for me to say since I don't have to persuade a dozen other players.

Altmania's last hurrah

In response to The Lion King

My gal Sue had an up-and-down season, or rather half-season--in fact she had an up-and-down career, what with playing for four different head coaches--but she sure went out with a bang. Last night against Yale she scored 5 points in the last 5 seconds to lead Columbia's miraculous comeback for a 59-57 win over Yale. Altman hit a super-clutch three-pointer to tie the game with 4-point-something left, and then, after Yale messed up the in-bounds and traveled, she hit a buzzer-beating two-pointer for the win. It was a turbulent and ultimately disappointing season for the whole team, but you couldn't have scripted a better way for it to end.
