from AD: Rising junior Max Craig, who sat out the 2008-09 season after transferring from Loyola Marymount, and rising sophomores Noruwa Agho, Steve Egee and Issa Mase and assistant coach Andrew Theokas are representing the Lions on the six-day trip in conjunction with the Upstate Basketball Club.

From May 13-19, the quartet will team with other Division I players from Syracuse, Canisius, Georgia Tech and West Virginia, splitting into two squads, and will square off against the Bahamas National and Junior National teams during their stay on the islands.

While the experience will be good for all 4 players, Issa could use it the most. He has good physical tools but seems to need a ton of fundamental help and game experience. Any competitive experience should be a plus.

At the same time any reports big Max would be great.

Anyone know anything about how the four Lions did?

Doc, if you go to the Georgia Tech athletics website, there are couple of articles written by one of the Tech players, Lance Storrs. According to Storrs, the team consisted of players from Syracuse, West Virginia and Columbia. He gives no specifics about how the Columbia players did, but does say that the college team won its first four games. I suspect this was a good learning experience for the Lion players.
