Why does Brown recruit so many HS players who miss their Senior year with injuries?
Schmidt,Coleman,McCarthy and Ponticelli all come to mind. Do all schools do this or is it because we have to risk that they will heal well enough to become good players in order to get the better ones?

Recruiting starts well before a player's H S senior year. Ponticelli's and McCarthy's injuries occurred after they committed, however. Both played some as seniors and will be healthy for next year, as will Coleman.

Correction. I believe McCarthy missed his Sr. year in HS, but played yhen a PG year at NMH in '08-'09.
