Please accept condolences from a long-time lurker who has looked for your posts over the years. I know from experience that nothing means anything much now, but a presence persists and is at some point clear in the soul. Did you happen to see _Good Will Hunting_, where Robin Williams' character explained his consolation as being a realization (from the soul, not any godhead) of spiritual presence?

Asia, I know you said that you were not looking for condolence emails. But even though many of us haven't even met you, you are a part of our lives. If you are OK with it, I will propose that those board members who are interested and/or willing share a moment of silence at halftime during the LaSalle game for Asia and his wife, whether on the boards or just in private.
Wishing you the best, Asia.

Coming in late here, so will merely add that it is never inappropriate to seek comfort among friends. Will also say that while great relationships are based on strong commonalities of interests and values, it is also a sign of maturity when partners understand that they're not exactly the same, and give each other some space to indulge their own needs. It sounds like both of you were confident enough with yourselves and each other to recognize that. May you be blessed and comforted in your time of sorrow.
