Let's not even talk about theoretical NCAA tournament seeding. All eyes on Thursday night.

Yeah, they've been a 14 thru the majority of the season & 15 a couple weeks in Lunardi's bracketology. I just threw that 13 in there as wishful thinking lol.

Agree. On Thursday, the Bison will face a hot team and will need to play well.
- if Army, it will be a team that has won 4 of its last 5 - including wins over Boston U, Navy, and Holy Cross.
- if American, it will be a young team playing its best ball of the year, having won three straight road games over Loyola, Navy, and Army.

I agree 137. I am very concerned about Zach's ankle. He was in quite a bit of pain after the game and it is the same one that sidelined him a few games last season. With that said they very much need him to have a chance at winning the tournament imo.

I expect Zach and Nana will be ready to play on Thursday. Tournament games are never easy, but these guys have stepped up when they needed to. We have lots of weapons and lots of ways to score. As long as we play strong defense, there's nobody in this league we can't beat.

This bracket shows Lafayette playing Army instead of American but obviously it is wrong.

It wouldn't be late February without yet another ridiculous bracket distributed by the Patriot League.
http://patriotleague.org/documents/2017/2/26// 2016...
Why in the hell would you EVER clutter this thing by putting "No 8/9 winner" and "No. 7/10 winner" in those slots, thus making it useless to people who print these out and fill them in as we go?
And for God's sake, we're the Patriot League...do you think we might reach the proper conclusion about which teams* are going in those slots all on our own??
* If there's doubt about reseeding, it should be addressed in a footnote

I was lurking on the HC board, and I saw that cmo posted the odds of each team winning the PL tournament:
https://www.teamrankings.com/ncb/conference-tourna ...
Bucknell: 62.53%
Lehigh: 20.65%
Boston U: 11.66%
Other: 5.16%
BTW, Bucknell has an 81.28% chance of advancing to the PL Championship game.

Playoff status is a little more bearish on us. I would buy on 53%, sell on 63%.
Bucknell 53%
Lehigh 21%
Boston U. 13%
Others 14%

Probably not nearly as high. Bison last year were ranked 167th in nation (Pomeroy) heading into the tournament, while Lehigh was 166th. Navy was 206 and Boston U was 212th. This year Bison are 80th, with only Lehigh better than 184th.

THURSDAY NIGHT.
I agree with BRW, we are going to have our hands full Thursday night. I hope we Bucknell can overcome a tough Army team. After that it may be smoother sailing. Pick-em game Thursday night.

I was looking at tonight's games:
- 7pm #9 American at #8 Army
- 7:30pm #10 Lafayette at #7 Loyola
The questions is, who do we want to win each game? Personally, I would like to see American and Loyola win. I think that American would be much easier for the Bison to beat than Army. Also, I think that Loyola can push both Boston U and possibly Lehigh to the brink. In doing so, provided that the Bison make the Championship Game, they might face a more tired opponent.
Any thoughts?
