I guess interest is waning? I figured there might be a little more chatter since this was at least a small step above beating a D-III school. The emergence of Caleb Wood continues to be a major story. I also agree that Sam Jones held his own and I only saw him get beat once on the boards for an easy Howard putback. Obviously the size of that team helped to dictate some of the Jones/Simmons success, but we will certainly need them in league play.

I'll bite.

Wood has been playing very well on offense (minus a few games where he didn't get as much time), and I'd like to see what we look like with Wood as a starter.
Imagine this would be with likely Foreman starting point and Woods coming off the bench as just about all number still favor Foreman currently (though Foreman's ORAT is still not great at 93.2).

Where did you get that number from? KenPom? College basketball reference has Foreman at a 101.8 ORat, though that's unadjusted. Still, 93.2 is a heck of an adjustment down. Or maybe it's the effect of removing the D-III game.

I just want to see Wood get more minutes. The offense tends to get bogged down with the current starting 5 - once it does then switch Wood in for one of Foreman or Woods.

Yep, that ORAT is from Kenpom directly and I believe it would only be D1 stats.

As are the rest of us who wade through Stu Suss's links.

Hey Jeff - yep I have paid for Kenpom's stuff for prob 3-4 years now and totally worth it. It's cheap and offers insights that would have been beyond me as a fan before, so I enjoy having that access.

I like Wood with more minutes too. This year he is moving with the ball and without the ball quickly. Our offense works much better when we have people who can shoot threes - and they are in short supply on this team.
