One of you prestigious law school alums could have donated 130M to keep it anonymous!

I graduated from Penn Law School.

I find other recent conduct of the law school administration to be more deserving of condemnation than accepting a naming gift.

If I want to set forth my objections, I can do so on the off topic board where this Carey discussion also belongs.

I did not graduate from the Penn Law School.

That's all I've got on this one.

I didn't graduate from any law school. Furthermore, while I might (MIGHT!) have been able to get through law school, there's no doubt I would have been a terrible (and very unhappy) lawyer.

What he said. Although I might have been OK as a lawyer, I would for sure have been very miserable (I spent two summers working at my father's firm and that was more than enough for me).

To be clear, I’m not a lawyer at all either and it would definitely not be for me (my brother is though, and I try not to hold it against him, haha).

Bringing back on topic, Rice has a weird schedule too. They had a game the next day against an NAIA team (comparable time D2/D3) and won by 25. Of course Rice shot worse from 3 than against us.

I went to Columbia. They didn't sell their name. I was annoyed when Penn renamed Logan Hall (where I spent a fair amount of time as an undergraduate) as Claudia ("Page Six") Cohen Hall, but that told me all I needed to know about Penn. "Everything Must Go."

You wouldn't change your name if someone offered you enough money to retire now?

No. Especially to Aidman. Sounds too much like a P.I. attorney.

How about changing it to Dolphins Fan? Is there any amount you would take?

Glad I could help your process.

If I go to the game tomorrow, do you want to meet before the game at Carey Law School? Maybe at the Goat, if they haven't renamed it?

What the hell is the Goat? Goat Hollow was a bar in Mt Airy, which has since closed. The Goat's Beard is a bar in Manayunk.

I'm shocked. Do you not stop by the Law School from time to time?

No. I've used the library a few times 20 or more years ago. Why would I? Do you stop up at Columbia Law?

The Goat has been in a central area of the Law School for @50 years. Like the late eagle at Wannamakers it was a convenient place. It is a mythological Chinese creature with ties to the law & Justice; donated by Clarence Morris, one of the great teacher/scholars ever at Penn Law.

Goat!

Was wondering why you were talking about football and Tom Brady on a basketball blog.
