The Patriot League ranking as of today is #14 (out of 32). The other Eastern mid-majors are ranked as follows:
CAA 19 Ivy 23 AE 25 MAAC 27 NE 32
It's starting to look realistic for the PL to be ranked at least #17 if the PL teams keep winning a fair share of the winnable games.
The Bison RPI is #187 but should rise after the Xavier, Texas Tech, and Marist games (especially if we could get a couple of wins in those games). Note that us playing Marist is only probable, but far from certain, since it would be the final of their holiday tournament.
Navy hosts Penn tonight, in what should be a good test as to whether or not they can contend in the PL. Also could be an important game for league RPI since it's a potentially winnable game but not an expected one.

The Bison currently are at #144 in the RPI. The close losses have really hurt. Had they won the two OT games, which many believe were taken away by poor officiating, they would be at #72. If they had won those two plus the close Northern Iowa game they would be at #41. As Eric pointed out, there is still plenty of time to move the RPI up significantly.
Three of the next four Bison opponents will be great for the RPI, especially if they can win some of them.
Xavier: 8-3 record; SOS .5451 Texas Tech: 9-3; SOS .5710 Central Arkansas: 1-6; SOS .4317 Marist (likely): 8-2; SOS .5044
