Bears lost 70-51; stayed within 10 until 30th min., made 1/3 of their shots to PC's half.

Not as bad as it looked

PC outclassed Brown in this one, but this was more like a 12-14 point loss than 19. Robinson emptied the bench with over 3 to go and Brown down 14.

If you're Brown, you can't have your big two go 8-22 and have Brown go 4-17 from 3 and 13-21 from the line. Brown also missed at least 3 open layups. Had they done any of that well, they would have been in this one from start to finish.

PC did a nice job of attacking Brown's 1-3-1 zone trap, and also did well to prevent many backdoors. Good job by PC, but Brown missed some easy shots both inside and out.

Brown did alright on the boards, and Skrelja and Mullery in particular played effective games.

Hope exams go well and that Brown comes back with some momentum vs. Hartford.

I found this one particularly dissapointing. This was actually a winable game against a Big East team that is weekened by the absense of their point guard. I disagree with Bruno, PC was baffled by the 1-3-1 trap and just threw lobs in and out of the corners. When Brown switched to man-to-man and match-up PC had trouble recognizing the switches. PC finally threw down a couple of alley-oops late in the game. Brown shot very poorly, missing at least 6 layups in the first half and missing FTs including the front end a couple of times. They were equal in TOs and RBs. Brown did a good job of controlling the pace and created good looks against a big, athletic team. Had they shot reasonably well, they could have made a game of this one.

I agree the 1-3-1 was effective, but I thought that PC found the holes. They certainly shot well enough - over 50% - but the zone was more effective than that would suggest.
